Alimentari Carmen 2.0

Description

In this project, I transformed the traditional brick-and-mortar grocery store into a data-driven business model using cutting-edge technology. Leveraging tools such as Odoo ERP for resource planning, Meta Business Suite for social media engagement, and Taiga for project management, I focused on modernizing operations to boost sales and increase the average checkout value. The challenge was revitalizing a family-owned business—run by a mother and two employees over 50 years old—that faced declining revenues, customer attrition, and operational inefficiencies. By applying the Lean Startup methodology, typically used in software development, and integrating growth hacking strategies, I introduced innovation to both the business model and its approach to technology adoption. Through customer interviews, I tested assumptions about the store's core audience, which included elder Baby Boomers and their adult children. These interviews revealed contrasting opinions, emphasizing the need for a data-driven strategy. To address this, I built a custom data pipeline to collect and analyze customer data, providing actionable insights for marketing strategies and business metrics improvement. This project showcases my ability to combine technology, validated learning, and business innovation to solve real-world problems in a rapidly changing environment.
